Hello! I’m Joanna Rivera
Growing up in the Midwest, I experienced firsthand how limited access to new technology can inhibit people’s opportunities. That perspective motivated me to pursue product design, where I focus on creating meaningful, human-centered solutions.
I’m a recent Informatics B.A. graduate from the University of Iowa with a concentration in Human–Computer Interaction. Last summer, I was a UX Design intern at Amazon, where I worked on creating and developing analytics designs for the Seller Growth team.

I observe, empathize, communicate, and analyze. These qualities have led me to become a designer.
When I’m not designing, you can find me discovering museums🏛️, taking photos📸, and exploring new places🌊.
I am a huge lover of music and anything related to music production - composition, songwriting, producing, etc. In my past time, I create music as an artistic outlet besides designing!
